How Social Security disability attorneys at Berry & Associates helped win this Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD and Osteoarthritis Social Security Disability case

Abstract of the Social Security Disability Case:
Our client was a 48-year old woman with a work history consisting primarily of sedentary and light, semi-skilled jobs.

Medical Impairment of the Claimant:
Her disability stemmed from her Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD that have caused depressive symptoms, panic attacks, poor concentration, social isolation and anxiety. Also, her Osteoarthritis has caused pain in her back, feet, hands and arms.

What level did the claimant win Social Security disability benefits?
At a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ)

How did the Social Security Lawyers of Berry & Associates help the claimant win disability benefits?
Early on we counseled our client to carefully document all of her symptoms with her physician. As a result, we were able to obtain a written opinion form from her physician as to what our client's capabilities were. We then argued that these capabilities and limitations made her past work and other work, impossible. Through questioning, the claimant described that she feels overwhelmed most of the time, withdrawals from people, has trouble concentrating and rarely leaves the house. Moreover, she explained that her hands and back hurt to the point that she has poor, bimanual, fine and gross manipulation and that she needs to lie down 2 to 3 hours during the day to minimize her back pain.

Recommendations for others with Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD and Osteoarthritis that might be eligible for Social Security Disability?
It is important to point out that this is a brief synopsis of what was a complex disability issue. Like all Social Security Disability Cases, there was a lot on the line. If you have a case similar to this one, make sure you and your doctors are documenting your condition and limitations and make you're your Social Security Disability attorney has access to these records.
