Judge Denied SSI Claim

What Happens if The Administrative Judge Denies My Social Security Disability Benefits Claim?
In the complex world of SSI law, you've almost reached a final answer. At this point, it's extremely important to bring a social security disability attorney on board to assist you, if you haven't already.

After being denied twice by the State agency, then by the Administrative Law Judge, your next step in the process is to file an appeal at the Appeals Council. There, the Appeals Council will review the Administrative Law Judge's decision and evidence and proceed in one of two ways.

1. The Appeals Council can send the case back to the Administrative Law Judge for further review. This would result in another trial, at which you and your SSI attorney can present further evidence of your disability.

2. The Appeals Council can accept the Judge's ruling. In this case, the next step is filing a complaint with the U.S. District Council, who will review the Appeals Council's decision.

Working to receive your social security disability benefits can be very challenging. An expert SSI lawyer will be able to guide you through the confusing process and make your case as strong as possible.
